VFO STATEMENT: VFO Executive Director retirement and recruitment
After almost 30 years of dedicated and passionate service to the Ontario and Canadian veal cattle sectors, Jennifer Haley has provided notice to the Veal Farmers of Ontario (VFO) Board of Directors of her intention to retire from her role as Executive Director effective March 31, 2026.
“I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to have served VFO’s members and partners, as well as being part of the larger livestock sector and agri-food industry. During my time in the veal industry, I have had the privilege of meeting and working with a lot of amazing people who have supported, guided, and inspired me along the way, and I am truly thankful.” ~ Jennifer Haley

Jennifer will leave a lasting legacy, having led our organization through significant milestones and achievements and navigated our sector through key events that have helped shape our industry. We are immensely thankful for her leadership, knowledge, and passion as she consistently championed the Ontario and Canadian veal sectors to ensure not only were we at the table alongside our industry partners, but our voices were heard. The VFO Board of Directors is very appreciative that Jennifer has provided a long lead time to help the organization transition effectively. As part of this transition path moving forward, the VFO Board of Directors is working with CulturedHR to help in the recruitment of VFO’s next Executive Director.
