Shape the future of Ontario’s veal industry, VFO Board nominations now open

Are you a veal cattle or dairy calf producer ready to make an impact? The Veal Farmers of Ontario (VFO) Board of Directors is calling on passionate members to help shape the future of our industry.

As a VFO Director, you’ll help guide strategic decisions, advocate for producers, and collaborate on initiatives that strengthen our sector. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds, skill sets, and farm sizes.

Eligibility & commitment

• Must be a voting producer member of VFO in good standing
• Attend five to six full-day board meetings annually in the Guelph-area
• Participate in virtual meetings (approximately two hours each) as needed
• Represent VFO at events, government meetings, and on industry committees
• Receive a per diem and reimbursement for approved travel expenses

Key dates

• Self-nomination deadline: Friday, January 30, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.
  Note: Only fully complete self-nomination forms will be considered.
• Elections (if required): Wednesday, March 18, 2026
  Held during the VFO Annual General Meeting.
  Note: Nominations from the floor will not be accepted.
